We are a team of professionals from various backgrounds focused on alternative investments, sometimes referred to as Europe’s most western fund manager.
We aspire to be the premier Portuguese-based alternative investment manager, by meeting the unfulfilled demand for a trusted fund manager of alternative assets, free of conflicts of interest and hidden agendas.
We work in property, private equity, professional sports and passion investments.
In Property, we base our efforts in FundBox’s market presence and reputation as a long-standing independent fund manager. In Private Equity we work to build a position as a natural outgrowth of FundBox’s real estate private equity practice, highly focused on secondaries. In professional sports, we work to take advantage of the ban of third-party ownership of footballers in Europe to introduce innovative investment structures, In passion investments our goal is to offer small-scale, accessible investments vehicles in contemporary art, classic cars and wine.

How we work
FundBox competes against the large fund managers for major transactions by:
Offering its services free of any conflicting agenda to sell other, proprietary products.
Offering its services at a point in the development of a transaction when large fund managers are not cost effective.
Providing senior officer commitment through execution.
Actively sourcing transactions for clients.
FundBox competes against specialty fund management houses by offering at least comparable, if not better, execution capability.
Experience
Since the launch of the FundBox brand in 2004, FundBox professionals have raised more than €550 mn, executed approximately 650 transactions and paid-out to investors in excess of €250 mn.
Coverage
FundBox Assets under management, as at December 31st 2022, were €440 mn, of which 83% in real estate funds, 14% in private equity funds and the remaining in private equity funds of funds.
